Mission Accomplished is working with Northern Ireland Screen to recruit a pool of 9 Northern Ireland based screen professionals who are interested in broadening their careers to deliver employability training. The objective is of the programme is to support the pathway for new entrants from Further and Higher Education into the Northern Ireland screen industries.

No previous training or teaching experience is required.

We particularly welcome applications from those returning to the industry after a career break, those with caring responsibilities and under-represented groups, including, but not limited to those from minority ethnic backgrounds; people with a disability; people from the LGBTQ+ community and those from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

We are looking for people who have a range of experiences in the screen industries – across all genres, all departments and at a range of career stages from early to experienced.

If you are interested in sharing your knowledge with the next generation of screen industry professionals and:

  • Are based in Northern Ireland
  • Have professional experience working in the Northern Ireland screen industries
  • Are passionate about supporting and developing new entrants with their pathway into industry
  • Understand how to navigate the recruitment process in the screen industries
  • And are exasperated when they see a role advertised that is looking for “a runner with 3 previous credits”

To join a pool of employability trainers and panellists for NI FE and HE media courses

We are looking to recruit a pool of 9 screen professionals. You will be trained to deliver employability workshops, CV and interview best practice plus mini CV surgeries and provided with training materials to support your delivery.

Your audience will be media students on Further and Higher education courses in Northern Ireland (Belfast area initially).

Each employability session will have a lead trainer and a number of panellists (drawn from the trainer pool).

A full day of training will be provided for the successful pool of trainers to ensure they have the knowledge and materials to deliver these ½ day sessions.

The training will be led by Alison Grade, CEO Mission Accomplished and author of The Freelance Bible.

The delivery to students will take place over ½ a day and will include:

  1. Presentation on employability in screen industries including CV best practice.
  2. Panel Q&A about CVs
  3. Panel Q&A on interview best practice
  4. CV micro surgeries

Trainers will be paid a fee to attend the trainer training day.

Fees will be paid for the delivery of the employability sessions rate will differ for lead trainer and panellists joining Q&As.
