Mission Accomplished is immensely proud of all the incredible training programmes we’ve been entrusted to deliver by ScreenSkills over the last 12 months. We’ve been privileged to have the opportunity to deliver over 350+ hours of funded training, empowering 365 + film and TV professionals.
Our team toured around the length and breadth of the UK to deliver Unscripted TV Development Summits in Leeds, Cardiff, Glasgow, Belfast and London. Our Summits empowered over 170 talented individuals from development teams with the tools to create captivating pitches and cultivate innovative ideas so that they could change the narrative on and off-screen.
Shereen Docherty, Development Executive, Ranga Bee Productions “The Unscripted TV Development Summit was extremely well planned out and executed, with two jam-packed days full of learning opportunities, networking and commissioner meetings. It was a rare opportunity to spend time together as a team reflecting on our development process, and highly beneficial.”
Siwan Haf, Development Lead/Producer, Cwmni Da “This was a very well structured, informative and friendly course.”
In our Script Supervisor for Film course, we focused on aspiring Script Supervisors who had experience in Film and were looking to move across to Script Supervising. The course included practical role plays with cameras and actors to provide a safe learning environment for participants to learn and hone their skills. Many participants went on to funded placements to embed their learning.
The Guiding Principles of Departmental Budgeting course provided 170+ attendees from Locations, Costume, Hair and Make-up and Art Department with key budgeting skills. One attendee described it as “enriching, giving me more confidence in the departmental budgeting process. It’s one of the best ways to gain a full understanding of budgeting”.
We ran our Step Up to Line Producer in Children’s TV (Live Action) for the second year and empowered 24 industry professionals to take the next step towards Line Producer on kids live action shows. Our Return to Work in Craft and Tech course ran twice and its aim was to support individuals in who were looking to return to Craft or Tech HETV departments following a career break and support them with the tools and confidence to navigate their return. A number of participants form both courses have taken up funded placements following the training.
Ben Philpott shared his experience, “The Mission Accomplished Return to Work in High-End TV course has been a fundamental part of my journey to come back to my much-loved work. The industry professionals, one-to-one support, and introductions to hiring producers have been invaluable. An essential, industry-funded course for anyone returning to HETV.” Director of Photography – Guild of British Camera Technicians.
Emmy Beech Hair and Makeup Artist also shares “I’m a new mum and was struggling to see how I could continue my career and juggle a young family. Mission Accomplished gave me the much-needed headspace and direction to focus on where my career was heading. The course gave me confidence to ask for roles that suit our family and my new location away from London. I’m proud of my new CV and feel comfortable to send it out. I can highly recommend the Return to Work in Craft and Tech course.”
Reflecting on a year of remarkable projects, Alison Grade, CEO Mission Accomplished says “I would like to thank my team and all our trainers and guest speakers for helping us realise these courses.
